DIGITAL LEARNING: GAINING OR DRAINING By Reshma Majeed

Abstract

In the 1950 s, at the dawn of the great television decade, some television companies ran campaign ads saying that a TV in the home would bring families closer and would improve student grades. A half century later studies revealed that TV had adverse effects on human relationships as well as the learning abilities of children. Some argue that digital learning too is promoted today as a cure-all for the problems of classroom learning. The past decade has produced more than a few advocates for digital learning. According to them humans can learn faster with the help of digital resources. Today e-learning is an integral part of learning.
